Quality assurance

Our new and improved quality assurance offer includes three tools to help secure your operation, whether you’re a HIA, Handyperson Service, Contractor, or a local authority based adaptations service.

Quality Mark

The new Quality mark has been completely revised. It contains new objectives around DFG transformation (if applicable), consumer rights, and alternative dispute resolution.

The new Quality Mark also now included interactive links to example documents and on-line training resources, to ensure you get the most out of the assessment process.

Also, to take account of the increased emphasis on information and advice provision in the Care Act, Quality Mark now acts as a feeder qualification for onward progression to obtain the Advice Quality Standard (AQS).

Advice Quality Standard (AQS)

The Advice Quality Standard (AQS) is the national quality standard for providers of information and advice services. This rigorous assessment will show how your service, be it a local authority based team, or a HIA, can provide safe and robust advice services in line with the Care Act.

TrustMark

TrustMark is the ONLY safe-trader scheme with government endorsed standards.  Additionally, TrustMark now works with Trading Standards to ensure that any TrustMark registered contractor is also Trading Standards approved. Foundations is a TrustMark Scheme operator for handyperson services and deliverers of disabled adaptations, but now we will also be able to assess your contractors directly!

TrustMark has many benefits:

For the Local Authority or HIA looking to maintain an approved contractors list – Foundations and TrustMark can help, at little or no cost to you.

For the HIA looking to develop new revenue lines in the able-to-pay market, TrustMark provides a valuable shop window where your services are showcased to literally thousands of customers looking to pay for quality assured services.

For the contractor, wishing to achieve the recognition of being subjected to rigorous vetting, it puts them ahead of the competition by working to government endorsed standards.
